Augusta Publishers, headquartered in Chennai, India, is an independent publishing house which aims to publish content in the following areas: Educational, Children’s, Theology/Spiritual, Academic/Scholarly, Vocational, and Fiction.

About the Founder

Born and raised in Tirunelveli, India, Rev. A. Devasahayam, studied at the Madurai University, where he received a ‘Bachelor of Arts’ degree in History, on September 25, 1971. He was the first graduate in his village, and to his kinfolk, he owes love, goodwill, and kindness. Upon graduation, Rev. A. Devasahayam dedicated his life to serving people through spiritual teachings and discourses. For more than 40 years, he has spoken to the audience all over South India, to inspire them to get fresh perspectives on life.

In the year 2001, Rev. A. Devasahayam graduated from the ‘Master of Arts in Sociology’ program at the Annamalai University, India. Rev. A. Devasahayam is a veteran pastor, speaker, author, and unrelenting voice for vulnerable people. In June 2002, Rev. A. Devasahayam was honoured by the Board of Trustees of ‘Indian Theological Research Institute’, for long and dedicated service.

Rev. A. Devasahayam’s personal mission is to teach the model of life to everyone desiring to lead fulfilled lives. His professional intentions and goals are an extension of what he practices at Home – where he believes the spiritual foundations are set. Rev. A. Devasahayam and his wife, Augusta, married for over 30 years make their home in a quiet neighborhood in Chennai, India. They have three adult children who they have raised to follow their dreams and pursue their passion. The sudden passing of his wife, Augusta, a successful educationist, on December 20, 2008, made a deep chasm on his life path.

Rev. A. Devasahayam began writing and publishing books in 2009. He is a self-made author who understands the difficulties that common people go through. For this purpose, he founded ‘Augusta Publishers’ in the year 2019 to express his thoughts, views, and opinions. As a self-publisher, Rev. A. Devasahayam is passionate to share his experience with first-time authors and assist them to navigate through the complexities of publishing books the first time.

Our Inspiration

Mrs. Augusta Sahayam began her academic career in the 1970s after her teacher training at the St. Christopher’s College of Education in Chennai. During her 35 years of service in the field of education, she has written scriptural stories, historical plays, and social dramas to guide school students and young adults in the church. She loved composing and singing songs, involving in church activities, and helping others. She was a mother, teacher, school principal, writer, choreographer, director, artist, partner, wife, leader, and a queen in the family at the same time. With encouragement from several people, Rev. A. Devasahayam published the works of Mrs. Augusta Sahayam after her passing to help guide the next generation in the church and the society.
